Christmas message to our Shidokan GB students

posted in: News

As the year draws to a close, we want to pause and thank every student who stepped onto the mat in 2025.

  • You trained through busy weeks.
  • You showed up tired.
  • You stayed focused.
  • You respected the dojo and each other.

That consistency matters. Progress in Shidokan comes from steady effort, not shortcuts. This year proved that.

A message from Shihan JJ Burnel…

“Thank you for your commitment this year. You showed discipline, respect, and steady effort on the mat. You turned up. You trained hard. You supported each other.

Take time over Christmas to rest, reset, and spend time with family and friends. Look after your body and your mindset.

We return in the New Year ready to train with focus and purpose. Come back sharp. Come back hungry to improve.

Merry Christmas and a strong New Year to you all.”

Use the break well

Christmas is part of training too. Recovery builds strength. Time away sharpens focus.

Over the break:

  • Rest properly. Sleep well.
  • Stay mobile. Light stretching helps.
  • Eat with awareness. Fuel matters.
  • Reset your mindset. Set one clear goal for January.

Looking ahead to the New Year

  • We return ready to train with intent.
  • Strong basics.
  • Clear focus.
  • Higher standards.

If you trained this year, be proud of that. If you missed sessions, January is a clean slate. The mat is waiting.

Thank you for being part of Shidokan GB. We look forward to training with you in the New Year.

Merry Christmas to you and your families.
